When the global recession is nosediving and worldwide firms are reducing their IT costs. Indian firms would increase their IT spending says Springboard Research. According to latest study, ‘Inside the End-Users’ Mind – India IT services demand side analysis. They have done an extensive research and found that Chief Information Officer would increase their IT spending even in these turbulent times. According to their research the Indian IT services market is expected to grow from $4.1 billion in 2007 to $8.1 billion in 2011, recording a CAGR of 18.6%.

The Indian IT industry which was clocking nearly growth of 30% y-o-y seems to be heading towards single digit growth. Several Indian IT companies which have reported their quarterly reports have shown a considerable decline in the growth. However one needs to be skeptic as how the IT industry will grow. Infosys Technologies, the darling of the Indian IT industry has said recovery should happen somewhere in the middle of 2010 (source : Economic times), The Indian IT industry which had stalwarts like Infosys, TCS and Wipro among its Maha Rathi had to fight a tough battle from outsiders like Accenture, IBM, Capgemini to name a few. After taking the battle on their own turf. Indian companies have to realise the capability of some these IT companies. More need to be seen how the Indian companies would make a comeback in the near future for growth.

It is always a step ahead in the IT scenario and also in the global stage. The word Bangalore was rechristened to Bengaluru and some of its famous marketeers are US president Barack Obama and Senator John Kerry. The word Bangalore or Bengaluru has become synonymous among the IT fraternity.

The great Indian outsourcing story may have been coming to a flat growth in the 3rd quarter of year 2009. The Indian IT companies who were growing at a range of at least 30 to 40% y-o-y seems to have indicated a negative growth for the month of august and September. TCS, Infosys, and Wipro the darlings of the Indian IT industry seems to have witnessed in the negative in the overall income. However the pundits of Indian IT still have a strong bet as the Indian companies are striving to overcome the global recession that have taken a toll on the Indian IT sector.
